From Insight to Action - Bridge the Gap to Success
In last week’s Digital Declutter Masterclass (Recording available), I shared some of my personal tools and strategies to keep my digital spaces tidy.
One super simple tip is to manage the number of tabs open in your browser. Tab Overload is a common drain of Productivity. With many tabs open, our cognitive resources become overwhelmed, leading to decreased focus and concentration.
Simple and obvious! Right?
But in full transparency, on the morning of the masterclass, I found myself juggling a staggering 68 tabs!
This is called the “insight-action gap“. It highlights the disparity between understanding what needs to be done and actually taking action to achieve it. While we see the importance of decluttering our digital space, implementing effective strategies can often be a challenge.
To overcome the “insight-action gap” it’s important to recognise the barrier to action and develop strategies to bridge the gap. For me, this looks like clearing my tabs each morning, closing the unnecessary tabs, ensuring a focused start to my workday. And then again, a quick tab clean-up after lunch to help me maintain productivity throughout the afternoon.
Feeling Good Fuels Success
Have you ever found yourself pushing hard towards your goals, only to feel like you’re not getting the results you desire?
People think success will make them feel good, but it’s feeling good that that paves the way for true success!
When you radiate positivity and contentment, you naturally draw in opportunities and people who resonate with your energy.
If on the other, when we’re in a negative state of mind, we seem to attract others who share similar struggles. If we keep thinking about the things we’re not good at or what holds us back, we’ll probably see them as bigger and meet people held back by the same issues.
Start attracting the right people and opportunities by cultivating a mindset of positivity and abundance today!
My Personal Haven for Creativity and Connection
Allow me to introduce HEITER. It’s the German word for JOY.
I discovered the gorgeous Heiter Magazine when I met Kiki through a summit that I was hosting and we’ve become friends and collaborators ever since.
I love everything the HEITER magazine stands for and when Kiki introduced the Heiter Society a few years ago, it was a no-brainer for me to join the membership.
It’s been my favourite community where business meets creativity and community.
We enjoy online activities like book clubs, baking, and art. With its two membership levels, the Heiter Society caters to joyful interactive sessions and gatherings (level 1) and small business support (level 2).
I’m excited to share a special code ‘ANNE’ with you, which allows you to add the brand new Heiter welcome pack for free. (Includes: a digital version of New Beginnings HEITER magazine issue, ‘Your Heiter guide to daily joy’ workbook and the recording of two mini Heiter sessions).
Membership prices go up in March! If you’re looking for a welcoming and awesome community of joy seekers and creatives, get in before the increase.
